Can I have my prescription fitted to your frames?
Yes of course you can! With over 20 years working as an Optical Dispenser it was important to me that every pair made was able to have prescription lenses fitted. This can be done through me in my Studio (Vision Inc) or by your local Optometrist.
How do I know if the frames will fit?
Try them on. All of my designs will be available to try on either in my studio, or at one of my awesome stockists. Of course my bespoke eyewear is made just for you, so it is guaranteed to fit beautifully.
Is the wood strong enough to wear everyday?
Sure is! I have been learning to make spectacle frames and sunglasses for over 10 years. A big part of that has been product testing. This involved getting myself and some of my friends and colleagues (the ones who treat their eyewear the worse!) to wear them day in, day out and report back to me. This is why I have developed a unique layering technique to make the wooden sides stand up to some pretty hard wearing. Every year it is recommended to apply a fresh coat of wax to the sides to keep them shiny and resistant to sweat and other forms of wear and tear.
Are they really handmade?
Of course. Whilst I do use some machines to help me along with the process, each pair is made by me, with saws, and files and sandpaper….. did I mention that there is lots of sanding!!
Can I claim these on my private health insurance?
If you purchase these through one of my amazing stockists you can absolutely claim them on your health fund. However if you buy them directly through me, they will not be claimable ( although I am working on it!)
